Why you should do Char Dham Yatra

Why are Sacred Pilgrimage Yatras Important to Devotees?

Tirthyatra- A Sanskrit word, it means the Holy Pilgrimage Yatra. As per religious beliefs, it is the most important thing to do once in a lifetime. As the Hindu faith and believe the person who completes this Char Dham yatra he is relieved from all the sins and is in the higher peace.

It is said to be the highest form of liberation- The attainment of Moksha/ Salvation. The other four Dharmas include the responsibility of worshiping and taking ahead of the Sanskars which have passed onto a being from generations.

A holy pilgrimage is a spiritual journey of enlightenment and individual faith. You worship the lotus feet of the Lord, once you begin with the significant journey to Char Dham. The walk to reach the temple is difficult which shows that no obstacle can keep the devotee away from God. Taking a dip in hot or cold holy water at various rivers shows the respect an individual has for the beliefs and the supreme power - God. Leaving all the issues and reaching God. The experience of Char Dham Yatra is divine and intimate. The holy tour a man commits to take gives him a closer connection with the Divine.

The pilgrim on such tours also gets to meet and see holy men and women dedicated to worship such as Pundits, Pujaris, Sadhus, and Sadhvi at various temples and shrines here. The devotees can take darshan of their favorite Deity and also stay there. This tour is also a great sightseeing tour as these temples are surrounded by nature and picturesque backdrops and when traveling to them, there are great locations to see on the way.
